However, it is incredibly important for our children to be learning the answers to these questions. Come learn about the negative impacts overindulgence can have on our children and what we can be doing as parents and teachers to teach children what constitutes enough.  You will walk away from this class with a tool to help answer the question of "Is this too much?" in regards to sports, school, stress, food, etc.  There will be a combination of large and small group discussions.

Girl Culture: Help or Hindrance?
Cost: $25/ Person $35/Couple

Workshop Description: Through the media, at the playground, in stores, through sports, at school, and many more, girls are bombarded with messages of what it means to be a girl in today's society.  Some of these messages are very positive; however, many are not.  Come for a discussion and a look at research on how these messages are impacting girls in the areas of body image, self-awareness, confidence, academics, problem-solving skills, and social interactions.  We'll look at what we can do to help counter these negative impacts and how we can help raise healthy girls in today's society.  If you have daughters, nieces, granddaughters, are a teacher, or simply spend time with girls in any setting, you won't want to miss this class!!!
